Ferrari has partnered with Shell since the 1950s and continues to drive innovation and excellence. The first Ferrari road car to leave the factory used Shell lubricant, and every Ferrari engine leaving the production line in Maranello, Italy, is filled with Shell Helix Ultra with PurePlus Technology.

Collaboration between Shell scientists and team engineers in the extreme environment of elite motor racing is the perfect recipe for producing leading engine, transmission, and gear oils. Taking those learnings, Shell and Scuderia Ferrari have co-designed a formulation of low-viscosity oil, Shell Helix Ultra 0W, to withstand the toughest environments while delivering maximum performance and efficiency.

The Shell Technical Partnership with BMW Motorsport is the latest chapter in Shell’s exciting history in Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) and touring car racing.

BMW Motorsport engineers collaborate with Shell scientists to develop high-performance oils, delivering long-lasting engine performance in a sport where mere seconds make the difference between winning and losing. Shell’s premium products power the performance of BMW drivers, allowing them to truly stand out in motorsport – while BMW drivers all over the world can enjoy the benefits our expertise has crafted.

Shell and Hyundai s partnership, which began in 2014, has resulted in 24 World Rally Championship (WRC) event wins in 10 seasons and counting. During these challenging events, Shell engineers ensured elite lubricant performance, maintaining engine reliability without wear issues.

Shell also helped the team develop an additional 1.5 horsepower, representing an average of six seconds advantage at each rally. In an adventure where close isn’t close enough, this is significant.
