Electronic signature data privacy statement
This page is for suppliers, customers or potential customers, business partners and investors who are requested to sign contracts and/or other related documents through DocuSign and/or other tools electronically by a company within the Shell group.
Personal data of business customers, suppliers, partners or investors gathered while electronically signing a document is processed for the purposes of business execution, in particular for the conclusion and execution of agreements between Shell and customers, suppliers and business partners or for a related secondary purpose such as to comply with legal or regulatory requirements, litigation and defence of claims and for the prevention, detection and investigation of fraud. In all cases the personal data is processed in line with the Shell Global Privacy Policy - Business Customers, Suppliers and Business Partners available at /privacy/b2b-notice.html and on the Shell website in your location, in local languages as appropriate.
Companies within the Shell group of companies (鈥楽hell鈥� or 鈥榳e鈥�) utilise the DocuSign application (鈥楧ocuSign鈥�) and other applications to enable contracts and notices to be signed, provided to and shared with third party suppliers, customers and business partners electronically.
In utilising such tools, employees and/or contractors of Shell and those third party suppliers, customers and business partners with whom Shell does business may provide limited personal data for the purposes of:
- business execution and in particular for the conclusion and execution of agreements between Shell and customers, suppliers and business partners;
- for compliance with legal or regulatory requirements including litigation and defence of claims; and
- for the prevention, detection and investigation of fraud

Shell Global Solutions International B.V. a company registered in Kamer van Koophandel with registered number 27155370 whose registered office is at Vestigingsnr 000019216068, Kessler Park 1, Rijswijk and/or the relevant affiliate within the Shell group of companies which is the party to the relevant contract/s policy/ies and/or notice/s.
Who has access to your data?
Your personal data may be disclosed to other companies within the Shell group of companies and/or to authorised third party companies involved in the provision of administration support to Shell (such as DocuSign Inc and cloud service providers for example) including service providers located outside of the European Economic Area (EEA) but in all cases only for the purposes mentioned above. Such transfers shall take place with adequate levels of protection in order to safeguard your personal data and in accordance with the requirements of applicable data privacy laws.
