What is API SP?

API SP is the latest engine oil standard issued by the American Petroleum Institute (API) for gasoline 4-stroke engines. It offers customers the latest engine oil specifications that provide better protection to modern engines against wear, deposits and sludge build-up.

What is JASO MA2?

JASO (Japanese Automotive Standards Organization) is comprised of the four major Japanese motorcycle manufacturers that set the motorcycle oil standard. The first such standard was introduced in 1998 covering JASO MA, MA1, MA2 and MB, with MA2 offering the highest friction performance for motorcycle application fitted with the wet-type clutch assembly. The T903-2023 standard includes the API SP performance and provides better compatibility to the exhaust catalytic converter.
